Expressed simply, a Job Bank, coupled with First Transitions’ career transition workshops, is the most effective means to assist separated individuals find new employment quickly.

To accelerate the placement activities of a group of separated individuals, First Transitions can develop an on-premise private Job Bank. The Job Bank is a comprehensive listing of current positions available in a client's local area or on a regional and national basis. Positions listed in the Job Bank can be restricted to a particular industry or can be expanded to all industries, both manufacturing and services, encompassing a wide geographical area where the skills of the individuals might be appropriately matched.

To establish a Job Bank, we will do the necessary research to identify potential employers and then contact employers by personal correspondence to solicit current positions available. Once contacted, employers are encouraged to list their job vacancies on a short "Position Available" reply form.

The research provided by First Transitions includes the company name, address, key contact person and his/her title so that correspondence is handled expediently. No labels or impersonal pre-printed letters are used. All letters will be prepared on client's stationery and envelopes so that no questions are raised regarding the source of the correspondence. Additionally, the letters and envelopes will be collated and delivered to the client for signature (optional) so the mailings will coincide with the client's other outplacement activities.

First Transitions has established private Job Banks of various magnitudes. The mailing to potential employers and the resultant number of positions posted will vary based on a number of criteria including: the geographic locations of the facility; local, regional and national economic conditions; the skill level(s); and number of affected employees. Previous experience in a variety of locations indicates that the establishment of a Job Bank of 200-500 openings could be established in most areas, which could be enlarged if necessary.
