Once individuals have completed the group career transition workshops and have completed their resumes, the most efficient means of connecting job seekers with new employment opportunities is through on-site Job Fairs.
First Transitions will work with local employers having current employment needs consistent with the backgrounds and skill sets of the affected employee populations.
Our firm will evaluate the employee population, consider local employers and invite those employees assessed to be potential matches, and invite the employers to an on-site Job Fair. It is important to coordinate final work dates of employees with these Job Fairs in order to achieve optimal workflow and scheduling.
This activity has been positively received by sponsoring clients, job seekers, and prospective employers as a most effective and cost-efficient means of connecting job seekers with new opportunities.
Since 2002, we have been the private industry business partner for United States House of Representative’s Speaker Dennis Hastert’s office in developing Job Fairs for his congressional district. Our involvement developed from our experience in conducting on-site Job Fairs for our clients in his district.
