In order to provide separated individuals with a thorough understanding of outplacement and the variety of services that will be made available to them, First Transitions suggests scheduling an educational session for the employees in each outplacement program. Sessions would be facilitated by a First Transitions’ consultant and a representative of the employer’s Human Resources Department.
These sessions communicate the organization’s interest in these employees by providing information of their severance benefits and the career transition services to be provided. Historically, these sessions are approximately 45 minutes in duration with additional time reserved for questions. Providing these sessions reduces anxiety and increases subsequent workshop participation. Consequently, an important element in meeting your organization’s objective is met – assisting employees in finding new employment quickly.
