As Managing Director of First Transitions’ Atlanta office, Chris brings years of experience in the career transition industry combined with a background in senior level human resources roles, executive search and human resources consulting. Initially, Chris was employed by an independently owned, boutique consulting firm where she progressed to the position of Senior Vice President of the outplacement division. In that leadership position, she had full accountability for profit and loss, business development and managing the day-to-day operations. Chris counseled hundreds of executive, management and professional level individuals through the job search and re-employment process and also assisted client organizations in the planning and implementation of reductions-in-force, facility closings and individual employee separations.

In her human resources consulting role, Chris functioned as a strategic business partner in healthcare organizations, publicly held manufacturing companies, financial services institutions, and not-for-profit agencies. Consulting engagements included development and implementation of compensation programs, performance management systems, legal compliance/policies and procedures, and human resources audits. As an executive search consultant, Chris facilitated the search process from initial client presentation through recruitment, presentation of candidates and offer negotiation and acceptance. In addition, Chris’ human resources background includes senior level responsibility for employment/staffing and recruiting; compensation, performance management and employee benefit administration; Affirmative Action; and employee relations.

Chris’ education includes a B.S. in Business Management with emphasis in Human Resources and M.B.A. from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. She earned her SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification through the Society for Human Resources Management.

Throughout her career, Chris has been active in professional and community organizations. She held the position of Board President for RASHRM (Rockford Area Society for Human Resources Management in Rockford, Illinois) and was elected to the Board of Trustees for Rock Valley College. Her volunteer activity also includes participation on various not-for-profit agency boards of directors.
