Cindy Burke has over 15 years experience in the career management industry. She has worked with both sides of the employment process with her Corporate Human Resources background where she was responsible for recruitment, employee relations, succession planning, training and implementing and interpreting Employment Policies & Procedures.

She began her outplacement career with Meta/Mat, a boutique consultancy offering company- sponsored executive outplacement, training & search services based in Iselin, NJ. There she successfully completed various search assignments within banking, cosmetics, printing and multiple manufacturing firms (computer, food, glass and plastics).

Her in-depth understanding of the corporate world has been enhanced by her previous experience as Manager of Human Resources for an international forms manufacturer based in Parsippany, NJ. During her tenure, she lowered the retention rate by 23% by implementing a nationwide recruiting program, produced curriculum for the company's first multi-tiered Sales Training program and a company-wide Competency Plan. Promotion to Director, she assumed the task of rolling out a formal Succession Plan coupled with Performance Management System.

Included in her background is a record of success for a leading career transition firm, Right Management Consultants, where, as a Senior Consultant, she delivered assessment, strategy and marketing programs to professionals of all levels. Her commitment to the clients, along with her creativity, high ethics and positive influence, are the attributes she now brings to the First Transitions team.

Cindy has held leadership roles in various New Jersey Chapters of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and the North Jersey Association of Female Executives. She also is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, Employment Management Association and New Jersey Human Resource Planners Group. Cindy is a certified Lominger Competency Expert, Birkman and Wonderlic Interpretor.
