Mary began her career with First Transitions in 1998, having spent 15 years with Chicago's Holy Cross Hospital. While in Holy Cross' human resources department, Mary was instrumental in creating the initial offering of First Transitions' Career Partnershipâ program in 1995.

This internal career development program placed 240 Holy Cross employees into new positions in a seven-month period and was responsible for cost savings equaling $1.6 million.

Mary's greatest strength is in her ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. She has the skills to empathize, encourage, motivate and lead individuals through the job search process while allowing individuals to make conscious career choices and develop work / life goals.

Recently, Mary has led efforts that required the establishment and operation of on-site Career Resource Centers. These Centers provided workshop presentations, one-on-one counseling and administrative support for hospital and manufacturing facilities for more than 500 personnel.

Mary has completed coursework establishing her as a Career Development Facilitator from Northern Illinois University at DeKalb. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Oak Brook chapter, Human Resources Association of Greater Oak Brook (HRA).
